About the Opportunity
A global pharmaceutical client of ours is looking for a Senior System Engineer to join their evolving Technology Solutions division as they transition into a modern Product Operating Model. Their cross‑functional product teams are empowered to take full ownership of delivering solutions that are valuable, viable, usable, and feasible.
In this role, you’ll have significant impact across multidisciplinary R&D projects, particularly within connected‑device product lines. You’ll contribute throughout both discovery and delivery phases, working closely with product managers, technology leads, designers, embedded engineers, hardware teams, and cloud developers.
Key Responsibilities
- Define system & hardware requirements across multiple engineering domains
- Shape embedded, ATE & software requirements and contribute to design stages
- Develop protocols and lead technical problem‑solving
- Build proofs‑of‑concept and conduct field testing
- Support test design, investigations, and multidisciplinary integration
- Operate within a multi‑site, matrixed Product & Platform team delivering complex IoT solutions

Experience & Skills Required
- BSc/MSc in Electrical Engineering (or higher)
- Strong experience in system engineering for multidisciplinary systems
- Background in communication products, embedded systems, HW, RF
- Strong ability to understand complex IoT architectures and quickly absorb new technical concepts
- Experience working in large, multidisciplinary technical projects
- Structured prioritisation and ability to focus on what matters
- Organised approach suited to process‑driven environments
- Hands‑on engineering mindset
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills

Desirable Experience
- Linux environment
- Atlassian or Azure DevOps
- Experience with Agentic AI for discovery and innovation
- Coding skills: C, C#, Java, Python
- RF technologies: BLE, WiFi, LTE‑M, LoRa
- Knowledge of backend systems, serverless architectures, and cloud‑based IoT infrastructure
