Senior Systems Accountant
We are working on behalf of a Birmingham based not-for-profit organisation to recruit an experienced Senior Systems Accountant on a 12 month fixed term contract basis. The role is paying £60,000-£65,000 per annum, plus hybrid working.

Our client is a well established, Birmingham based not-for-profit organisation that delivers a wide range of services supporting individuals and communities across the UK. With a strong focus on innovation and continuous improvement, the organisation is investing in its finance systems to enhance reporting, strengthen governance, and improve operational efficiency. You'll join a collaborative environment where technology and finance work closely together to support strategic decision making and long-term organisational success. Key Responsibilities
As Senior Systems Accountant, you will be the subject matter expert for the organisation's finance systems, with responsibility for the ongoing development, optimisation, and governance of NetSuite Financials and associated reporting tools.

- Leading the administration, configuration, and optimisation of NetSuite Financials.
- Acting as the organisation's finance systems expert, providing technical guidance and support.
- Identifying and implementing system enhancements that improve efficiency and user experience.
- Managing finance systems projects from planning through to successful delivery.
- Developing and maintaining finance systems road maps and reporting solutions.
- Driving automation, digital transformation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintaining data integrity, governance, and financial controls.
- Monitoring system integration's and resolving technical issues.
- Producing insightful dashboards and management information to support decision making.
- Delivering training and ongoing support to finance system users.
- Supervising and developing a Systems Finance Assistant.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA/CGMA, CIPFA or equivalent qualified.
- Significant experience in a Systems Accountant or Finance Systems role.
- Strong knowledge of NetSuite or another enterprise ERP system.
- Experience delivering finance transformation and systems improvement projects.
- Excellent understanding of financial accounting, management accounting, and financial controls.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Experience managing multiple projects and competing priorities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement and digital transformation.
- Leadership experience, including coaching and developing colleagues.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Experience within the charity, public sector, or not-for-profit sector.
- Knowledge of Power BI or other reporting and business intelligence tools.
- Experience using AI-enabled finance technologies and automation solutions.
Benefits
Senior Systems Accountant:
- £60,000-£65,000 per annum.
