Senior Systems Administrator

At Forge, we bring together a global portfolio of market-leading businesses and specialist teams, connected by the technology and systems that help them do their best work. We’re collaborative, ambitious, and always looking for smarter ways to build, improve and grow.

We’re looking for a Senior Systems Administrator to join our UK team, based in Shepherd’s Bush, London. We’re looking for someone experienced, proactive, and excited about taking ownership of a world-class tech environment and helping shape how it grows.

This is a role that requires a critical onsite presence within one of our UK businesses, This is Beyond, and complements our expert US-based Forge IT team. You’ll be based at the This is Beyond office but report into an IT leader at Forge, working closely across our systems and teams. It’s a hybrid, cross-functional role with real ownership across our UK and South Africa IT environment, especially suited to someone who loves improving systems, automating, and connecting the dots.

Who You Are

To be successful in this role you'll be curious, calm under pressure, and love helping people solve tech problems from "my Wi-Fi won’t connect" to "can you help me automate this system-wide rollout." You’ll be great at managing your own time, jumping between Mac and Windows, and be looking for more than just reactive ticketing, you'll want to contribute to big-picture improvements and proactive support.

You will need to be comfortable taking ownership and working independently in an onsite environment, while knowing when to ask questions and loop in your wider team. You’ll be confident making recommendations, identifying improvements and bringing your own experience and ideas to the wider Forge IT team. You get excited by new tools, big transitions, and smart solutions, and still want to keep learning as the business grows.

What You’ll Do

  • Set up and support employee workstations and infrastructure in a cross-functional and hybrid office environment
  • Deploy and support company laptops (both Windows and Mac OS)
  • Administer, maintain, and continuously improve Office365, Entra ID and Azure environments for our UK and EU-based users
  • Deploy security patches, application patches, configuration changes, and registry updates using RMM/MDM tools to endpoints
  • Take ownership of endpoint security, patching and appropriate security controls to help protect the organisation’s data and infrastructure
  • Participate in the change management process and support systems, infrastructure, migration and rollout projects
  • Carry out daily administrative tasks, reporting, and communication with relevant departments
  • Maintain antivirus software and ensure coverage across networks
  • Own and resolve service desk tickets end-to-end with efficiency and clarity, escalating to the wider Forge IT team where appropriate
  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive administrative tasks and processes (PowerShell a plus).
  • Lead or play important role in IT systems integration in all current and future acquisition

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
