Who We Are

Verve is a global ad-tech company that owns and operates a fully integrated advertising stack, spanning demand, supply, and data. While most companies in our space specialize in one layer of the ecosystem, we own the DSP, the SSP, and the data and identity infrastructure that connects them. This means our technology works end to end, in real time, every time a user opens an app or loads a screen.

We work with over 10,000 publishers and reach 2.5 billion consumers across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC. Our platform processes billions of signals daily, enabling advertisers to plan and execute campaigns with precision and publishers to manage and monetize their inventory effectively. As the digital advertising landscape shifts away from walled gardens and third-party identifiers, Verve is focused on building the infrastructure that supports a more open, accountable internet. That is what drives the work we do.

About the Position

We're seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to keep our company running smoothly. The ideal candidate is a level-headed, hands-on specialist with deep experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting hardware and software. You're fluent in MacOS, Windows, Google Workspace, Microsoft O365, WiFi networks, and current security protocols. You'll provide direct support to team members while driving long-term operational IT projects.

Position Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Project Leadership

  • Own and drive long-term IT infrastructure projects from scoping through delivery including network upgrades, cloud migrations, security hardening, and tooling improvements
  • Develop and maintain technical roadmaps aligned with business goals, collaborating with leadership to prioritize initiatives
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve automated provisioning and systems management pipelines (CI/CD for IT tooling, endpoint management)
  • Research and evaluate new technologies, tools, and vendors; lead proof-of-concept efforts and make recommendations
  • Plan capacity, budget, and resourcing for infrastructure initiatives, and report progress, risks, and outcomes to leadership

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

System Administration Support

  • Serve as technical escalation point for the Systems Administrator team and step in on complex issues, mentor, and help build team knowledge
  • Assist with or own high-complexity onboarding and offboarding workflows, ensuring security and access policies are followed
  • Perform and improve maintenance activities: backups, patch management, license audits, and monitoring
  • Create and improve IT documentation and internal knowledge bases
  • Respond to critical incidents and drive root cause analysis and permanent resolution

Security & Networking

  • Manage firewall policies and office infrastructure
  • Participate in security improvement initiatives including vulnerability management, access reviews, and compliance efforts (SOX)
  • Monitor infrastructure for threats and anomalies; lead response and remediation efforts
  • Administer identity and access management; SSO, MFA, and lifecycle provisioning across Google Workspace, Office 365, and Slack
  • Maintain network architecture (VLANs, routing, DNS/DHCP, Wi-Fi) and Cisco Meraki hardware across office locations

Programming & Automation

  • Write scripts and tooling (Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar) to automate repetitive workflows, improve reliability, and reduce manual toil
  • Provide support with audit and compliance evidence collection (e.g. SOX) across cloud and SaaS platforms
  • Establish version control, testing, and documentation standards for IT scripts and tooling using Git-based workflows
  • Build dashboards and alerting to surface system health, license usage, and anomalies before they become incidents

What Success Looks Like

  • Major initiatives land cleanly. Migrations, integrations, audits, and infrastructure upgrades are scoped, sequenced, and delivered on schedule with minimal disruption to the business.
  • The Systems Administrator team levels up. Complex escalations are resolved, knowledge is actively transferred, and over time fewer issues reach you because the team is more capable than it was a quarter ago.
  • Manual toil measurably drops. Repetitive workflows are replaced with reliable automation, provisioning and onboarding get faster, and error rates fall - freeing the whole team to focus on higher-value work.
  • The security posture strengthens visibly. Vulnerabilities are tracked and closed on a predictable cadence, access reviews are routine rather than fire drills, and SOX and compliance evidence is clean, complete, and audit-ready.
  • Incidents are handled with maturity. Critical issues get a fast, calm response, real root-cause analysis rather than band-aids so the same problem doesn't resurface.
  • The roadmap is proactive, not reactive. You anticipate where the infrastructure and business are heading and propose initiatives ahead of need, rather than only responding to what breaks.
