Senior Systems Architect – Financial Services
We're looking for a Senior Systems Architect – Financial Services to join our team in London in a hybrid working mode. In this strategic role, you will lead architecture design for AI-first, cloud-native solutions leveraging Google Cloud technologies. You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, helping shape technology roadmaps, define enterprise architectures and ensure successful execution of large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with business consulting skills to influence solution strategy and drive measurable business outcomes. You will collaborate closely with clients, Google representatives and multidisciplinary delivery teams to transform emerging AI and cloud technologies into resilient, production-ready systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver AI-first, cloud-native solutions for enterprise clients
- Lead end-to-end architecture activities including assessments, roadmap creation and platform recommendations
- Serve as a trusted advisor for client stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Guide technical teams during project delivery, providing architectural oversight and governance
- Support RFx and presales activities by crafting tailored cloud and AI solutions based on Google technology stack
- Maintain partnerships with Google and contribute to joint innovation initiatives
- Drive knowledge sharing through patterns, reference architectures and reusable assets
- Facilitate workshops, hackathons and enablement sessions focused on AI adoption and digital transformation
- Mentor engineers and architects to build strong technical communities within projects
- Stay current with Google Cloud and AI advancements, ensuring solution portfolios remain innovative and competitive

Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in solution architecture, platform engineering or enterprise IT
- Minimum 5 years in the financial services domain with focus on digital transformation
- Deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform and modern architecture principles
- Proven experience designing AI-native applications and enterprise GenAI solutions, especially with Gemini Enterprise and Agent Platforms
- Experience turning AI prototypes into enterprise-grade solutions, including validation and production readiness approaches
- Strong understanding of SDLC practices, CI/CD and agile delivery methodologies
- Hands-on knowledge of governance frameworks and security models for cloud-native platforms
- Excellent communication skills with ability to engage C-level stakeholders and technical teams
- Fluent in German and English
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
- Ability to travel as required
