About SP1 IT Solutions
SP1 IT Solutions is a growing technology consultancy specialising in law firms, professional services and architecture practices across the UK.
We are not a traditional MSP.
Our clients trust us as advisors and long-term technology partners. We work directly with managing partners, business owners and senior leadership to help them use technology securely, efficiently and strategically.
As we grow, we're looking for an experienced IT Solutions Consultant who enjoys taking ownership, solving complex problems and building trusted client relationships. This role suits someone who wants to move beyond resolving support tickets and become a genuine technology consultant helping clients make better decisions and achieve better business outcomes.
The Opportunity
This is a varied role combining technical expertise, project delivery, cybersecurity and client engagement.
You'll work with a portfolio of professional services clients, helping them improve security, modernise infrastructure, adopt cloud technologies and get more from their technology investments.
One day you might be improving a law firm's cybersecurity posture and compliance framework; the next, leading a Microsoft 365 migration, deploying Intune, or delivering a strategic technology review. You'll be trusted to take ownership, think commercially and build long-term relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Consultancy & Support
- Provide high-quality 3rd line technical support
- Act as a trusted advisor on technology best practice
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
- Produce clear documentation and technical recommendations
Project Delivery
- Microsoft 365 migrations and optimisation
- Intune and endpoint management deployments
- Cybersecurity improvements (Microsoft Defender, Conditional Access, MFA, Cynet, Sophos)
- Cloud adoption and infrastructure modernisation
- Backup, business continuity and disaster recovery
- Network and security infrastructure upgrades

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Strategic Client Engagement

- Identify risks, opportunities and areas for improvement
