Full-time | Remote (Philippines) | After Hours Support (AU) - Night Shift Schedule
Join a growing Australian managed IT services provider, specializing in cloud, cyber security and automation, in a fully remote after-hours role with real room to grow as one of the team's first offshore engineers. Working overnight in the Australian time zone, you will take over ticket handovers from the onshore team, respond to client incidents as they arise, and use the quieter periods to drive proactive optimization across the environments you support.
Day to day you will work across the full support lifecycle, from triaging and resolving tickets through to Microsoft 365 administration, basic cloud and security tasks, and keeping documentation accurate, with the chance to take on more technical project work over time. The ideal person is a proactive, technically switched on support engineer who is comfortable working independently overnight and stays calm when a client incident lands on their desk.
Key Responsibilities
- Take over after hours ticket handovers from the onshore Australian team and keep tickets moving through to resolution or clear next steps.
- Respond to client incidents as they come in overnight, triaging, troubleshooting and escalating where needed to keep client environments stable.
- Use quieter overnight periods for proactive optimization and monitoring work that improves the performance and reliability of client systems.
- Support day to day Microsoft 365 administration across common services such as Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams and user accounts.
- Assist with cyber security tasks aligned to frameworks such as the Essential Eight, including basic remediation and following managed SOC processes.
- Help with cloud and automation work where needed, for example basic Azure tasks or Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) support, with room to grow into more.
- Log activity accurately in the ticketing and CRM systems and keep documentation and knowledge base articles up to date.
- Proactively surface issues, follow ups and improvements the onshore team may not have spotted, contributing to overnight project work as well as reactive support.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
