Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer – Subsea Production Control

Duration: 12 months

Location: Nailsea, England, United Kingdom

We are hiring a Senior Systems Engineer – Subsea Production Control with extensive experience in Subsea Production Control Systems to support both Tendering (ITO) and Project Execution activities. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex subsea projects, leading technical solutions from bid stage through to system integration, testing, and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the engineering contribution for subsea production control system tenders.
  • Review client specifications and prepare technical proposals, risk registers, and engineering documentation.
  • Support commercial teams by developing competitive and technically compliant solutions.
  • Develop and maintain system architecture, requirements, and functional design specifications.
  • Manage system integration, verification & validation (V&V), testing, and acceptance activities.
  • Ensure technical compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
  • Perform technical risk assessments, change control, and impact analysis.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and interface directly with customers.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marine Engineering, Electrical, Electronics, or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience in Subsea Production Control Systems.
  • Strong background in Systems Engineering, including requirements management and system architecture.
  • Experience with Tendering/Proposal Engineering and Project Execution.
  • Knowledge of System Integration, Verification & Validation (V&V), FAT/SIT, and configuration management.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and customer-facing communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and willingness to travel internationally when required.

  • Chartered Engineer (or working towards chartership).
  • Experience delivering complex subsea systems for EPC or offshore energy projects.
