About the Role

Working in the Systems team responsible for creating Design Verification Plans (DVP), Methods (DVM), planning and executing testing with data collection and instrumentation.

Qualifications, Functional Experience & Skills

  • Creation of DVPs and DVMs: Creation and maintenance of a consolidated system level verification plan working with the wider team/squads, authoring the artefacts and documents.
  • Test Execution: Develop practical and pragmatic test plans and methods for Systems relevant to TAEs business operations (examples include, batteries, inverters, motors, charging equipment).
  • Perform hands-on testing: Support and deliver hands-on physical testing.
  • Data collection tools and methods: Support delivery of measurement and data collection tools and methods acting the central point for this within the wider team.
  • Promote and facilitate effective joined up working: Between Build & Test Operations Team and Systems / Engineering teams.
  • Data analysis & reporting: Analyse complex test data vs success criteria, identify issues, and in support of problem solving and root cause analysis.
  • Documentation: Create & maintain relevant supporting artefacts and documentation (plans, methods, how to guides, status, trackers, test reports etc).

Required

  • A degree or similar qualification in an engineering discipline, ideally control, electrical or electronic.
  • Relevant experience of system design and/or electrical/electronic engineering disciplines.
  • Relevant experience of performing testing on a variety of test equipment (Components, HiL Rigs, Vehicles).
  • A sound understanding of engineering, physics, and applied mathematics and their application to solving real world problems.
  • Understanding of Systems Engineering processes (Systems V, Requirements, Verification definition) ideally including use of associated tools (Enterprise Architect, JAMA, Medini etc).
  • Experience of test automation tools, diagnostic, and fault injection tools such as PEAKCAN, Vector tool suite, Labview highly desirable.
  • A degree or similar qualification in an engineering discipline, ideally control, electrical, or electronics.
  • Experience and good understanding of HV safety.
