Location: Farnborough

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Specialist – SAP SuccessFactors to provide technical and functional leadership across a global HR technology environment.

This is a key role within UK IT Operations, responsible for the performance, security, governance, administration, support and continuous improvement of SAP SuccessFactors across multiple geographies.

Working closely with HR, IT, Enterprise Architecture, business stakeholders and external technology partners, you will help shape the SuccessFactors roadmap, drive platform optimisation and support wider HR transformation initiatives.

The role combines deep SAP SuccessFactors expertise with operational leadership, stakeholder management and change management, ensuring the organisation continues to maximise the value of its HR technology platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the technical and functional lead for SAP SuccessFactors, ensuring the platform meets business, security, compliance and operational requirements.
  • Own the administration, configuration, maintenance and optimisation of SuccessFactors modules.
  • Define and maintain the SuccessFactors roadmap in partnership with HR stakeholders, Enterprise Architecture and service owners.
  • Lead platform enhancements, continuous improvement and user adoption initiatives.
  • Manage SuccessFactors releases, assessing new functionality and coordinating testing, communication and deployment.
  • Support integrations between SuccessFactors and wider enterprise applications, maintaining data integrity and operational resilience.
  • Lead data migration, validation, reconciliation and data quality activities.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex incidents, service requests and technical problems.
  • Administer role-based permissions and security models, ensuring compliance with governance, audit and data protection requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits and maintain appropriate compliance evidence.
  • Lead testing activities including unit testing, system integration testing, UAT and regression testing.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, knowledge articles, training materials and support procedures.
  • Provide expert guidance to HR teams, managers, employees and system administrators.
  • Manage relationships with SAP and third-party support providers, driving service improvements where required.
  • Support HR transformation programmes, acquisitions, divestments and organisational change affecting HR systems.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, process standardisation and improved employee experience.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to wider IT Operations capability development.

We are looking for an experienced SAP SuccessFactors specialist with a strong combination of technical expertise, HR systems knowledge and stakeholder management capability.

  • 5+ years' experience supporting and administering SAP SuccessFactors within a complex enterprise environment.
  • Strong experience in SuccessFactors configuration, administration, support and continuous improvement.
  • Experience with one or more SuccessFactors modules, ideally Employee Central and Talent Management solutions.
  • Strong understanding of SuccessFactors architecture, including business rules, workflows, MDF objects, role-based permissions and security models.
  • Experience managing SuccessFactors releases, upgrades, testing and deployments.
  • Experience with HR system integrations, middleware, APIs and data migration.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, employee lifecycle management and HR data structures.
  • Experience working with HR stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Experience managing external vendors, implementation partners and SAP support services.
  • Knowledge of GDPR, audit controls, security governance and HR data management.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience driving platform adoption, process improvement and organisational change.
  • Understanding of ITIL-aligned service management.
