Senior Talent Manager
Location: Manchester/London
Salary: £50,000 + lucrative commission + benefits
MagnetIX is proud to partner with a premium talent and experiential agency in their search for an ambitious, commercially minded Senior Talent Manager to join their growing team.
Our client represents a carefully curated roster of high-profile celebrities, creators and personalities, working closely with talent to build careers, elevate profiles and create meaningful commercial opportunities.
This is not simply a brand partnership role. The successful candidate will take ownership of a small, high-value roster of approximately three celebrity clients, acting as their trusted commercial partner and helping shape what comes next in their careers.
From negotiating major brand partnerships and securing TV opportunities, to elevating an existing podcast, identifying speaking opportunities and creating new commercial opportunities, you will be responsible for spotting what's next, making it happen and ensuring every opportunity supports the bigger career strategy.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced talent manager who knows how to build careers, open doors and turn relationships into opportunities.
The Role
As Senior Talent Manager, you will be the day-to-day lead for a select roster of celebrity talent. You will work closely with them to understand where they want to go, what they want to be known for and how their profile can be elevated both creatively and commercially.
You will operate at both a strategic and highly hands-on level — developing the long-term career strategy while also making the calls, pitching the ideas, negotiating the deals and keeping everything moving.
Your remit will span:
- Commercial partnerships and brand deals
- TV, media and entertainment opportunities
- Podcast growth and commercialisation
- Speaking and keynote opportunities
- Personal brand and profile development
- New business and partnership opportunities
- Career strategy and long-term positioning
You will be the person connecting the dots between talent, brands, media and commercial opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Management & Career Development
- Take full day-to-day ownership of a portfolio of approximately three celebrity clients.
- Build trusted, long-term relationships with talent and become a genuine partner in their careers.
- Develop clear commercial and career strategies for them identifying where their profile can grow and where new opportunities can be created.
- Understand ambitions, strengths and positioning and translate these into actionable opportunities.
- Proactively identify opportunities rather than waiting for inbound enquiries.
- Support talent with career decisions, positioning, partnerships and profile development.
- Act as a trusted sounding board, bringing ideas, challenge and commercial thinking to every client relationship.
- Manage the day-to-day detail that comes with representing high-profile individuals, ensuring they feel supported, informed and well managed.
Commercial Partnerships & Negotiation
- Lead the sourcing, pitching, negotiation and delivery of high-value brand partnerships.
- Own commercial negotiations from initial approach through to signed agreement and campaign delivery.
- Confidently negotiate fees, usage, exclusivity, deliverables and wider contractual terms.
- Identify brands and commercial partners that genuinely align with each talent's profile and long-term ambitions.
- Proactively approach brands, agencies and decision-makers with creative partnership ideas.
- Develop new commercial opportunities rather than relying solely on existing relationships or inbound briefs.
- Maximise both immediate revenue and longer-term commercial value for each client.
- Build strategic relationships with senior decision-makers across brands, agencies and media.
- Work towards and exceed commercial targets across the talent roster.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Take responsibility for elevating and growing the talent's existing podcast, ensuring it continues to build profile, audience and commercial value.
- Identify relevant guests, partnerships, sponsors and promotional opportunities that can strengthen the podcast and its reach.

Relationship & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain exceptional relationships across brands, agencies, media, entertainment and the wider talent ecosystem.
- Represent talent confidently and professionally in meetings, negotiations and commercial conversations.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure opportunities are executed seamlessly.
- Manage multiple stakeholders, deadlines and commercial priorities without losing sight of the bigger picture.
- Coordinate internal and external teams around clearly defined client objectives and ensure everyone remains focused on delivery.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who has already operated in a similar talent management, celebrity management, agent or commercial representation environment.

Get help with your application
Your very own career expert that helps elevate your application to the next level.
This is not a role for someone looking to make their first move into talent management. You will need to demonstrate a track record of managing talent and, importantly, personally negotiating high-level commercial brand partnerships.
You will ideally bring:
- Proven experience managing high-profile, celebrity, creator or public-facing talent.
- A strong track record of personally negotiating and closing significant brand partnerships.
- Experience managing multiple priorities, stakeholders and/or people towards clearly defined career or commercial goals.
- Strong commercial judgement and an understanding of how to build sustainable revenue around talent.
- Existing relationships across brands, agencies, media, entertainment and/or relevant industry networks.
- The confidence to pick up the phone, open doors and proactively pitch ideas.
- A genuine ability to sell — whether that is selling a talent, an idea, a partnership or a commercial opportunity.
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, with the confidence to hold your ground when required.
- Strong strategic thinking combined with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
- An understanding of personal branding, social media, audience growth and the changing talent landscape.
- The ability to build genuine trust with talent and operate with discretion, maturity and emotional intelligence.
Personality Matters
You will thrive in an environment where no two days look the same. You will be someone who:
- Is energised by a busy, high-pressure environment rather than overwhelmed by it.
- Brings calm to chaos.
- Can juggle multiple priorities while knowing what genuinely matters.
- Is highly organised but not overly rigid.
- Takes ownership rather than waiting to be told what to do.
- Is naturally curious and constantly looking for the next opportunity.
- Is commercially hungry without being transactional.
- Can move between a strategic career conversation with a celebrity and negotiating a significant brand deal without missing a beat.
- Is confident enough to challenge, influence and push back when necessary.
- Keeps focused on the end goal when plans inevitably change.
- Has the resilience and tenacity to keep opening doors when the first one doesn't open.
- Is proactive, resourceful and comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy.
Ultimately, we are looking for someone who thinks like an agent, operates like a manager and builds relationships like a partner.
Creating What's Next
A key part of this role is thinking beyond the obvious. You'll be expected to continually ask:
- What should this talent be doing next?
- Who should they be speaking to?
- Where should they be seen?
- Who should they be collaborating with?
- What could they own?
- And what could this lead to commercially?
That could mean identifying a major brand partnership, securing a TV appearance, getting them onto the right podcast, creating a speaking opportunity, introducing them to an influential person or spotting an entirely new commercial avenue. You won't be waiting for briefs to land. You'll be creating the opportunities.
