I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
You will work directly with enterprise clients, partners, and the eMigr8 founding team to shape our advisory offering, validate our platform against real-world mobility complexity, and represent eMigr8 in the conversations that matter.
This will start as a part-time, significant equity-first role, transitioning to full-time as the company hits growth or funding milestones.
About You
You have spent your career in global mobility consulting at a Big Four, a boutique firm, or in-house at a multinational. You understand how mobility programmes are built, how they break, and how to fix them. You are equally comfortable presenting to a CHRO and digging into the details of an assignment letter or a shadow payroll calculation.
You're a fit if you bring:
- 8+ years of experience in global mobility consulting or in-house mobility leadership
- Deep knowledge of immigration, relocation, tax, and payroll considerations across international assignments
- Experience managing or advising on UK immigration routes including Skilled Worker, Global Talent, and ICT
- A track record of advising enterprise clients on mobility strategy, policy design, and vendor selection
- Strong commercial instincts - you understand how mobility programmes create and protect business value
- Excellent client-facing communication and relationship management skills
- Comfort operating in ambiguous, early-stage environments where the playbook is still being written
We build partnerships differently at eMigr8. Rather than competing with existing mobility service providers, we are building a platform that amplifies what great consultants and firms already do. Your relationships and domain expertise will help us get there faster.
