Senior Tax Specialist | £70k-£80k + benefits + hybrid working

The Opportunity

Join a £20m professional services group as the first tax hire into a scaling AccountancyaaS platform with huge growth ambitions. You'll own tax strategy across a portfolio of SME and startup clients, work closely with the leadership team, and shape both the tax function and company culture from day one.

What You'll Own

  • Tax advisory for owner-managed businesses (Corporation Tax, VAT, Personal Tax, cross-border)
  • Tax planning and compliance reviews
  • Small business/startup formation and advisory
  • Building internal tax guidance as the team scales
  • Spotting opportunities to improve client outcomes and internal processes

Who You Are

  • Specialist tax experience (practice or in-house)
  • Strong cross-border/international tax knowledge (VAT/GST, transfer pricing, PE rules)
  • Proven track record with SME, startup, or owner-managed clients
  • E-commerce sector experience highly desirable
  • Comfortable translating technical tax into practical business advice
  • Hands-on with Xero, Sage, Excel/Google Sheets
