Corporate Tax Senior Associate

Key Responsibilities:

Tax Compliance & Reporting:

  • Preparation of complex corporation tax computations, ensuring accuracy and timely filing.
  • Review tax computations prepared by junior staff, providing feedback and identifying risks.
  • Oversee and prepare tax accounting provisions and disclosures.
  • Conduct research on tax rules and apply to client scenarios.
  • Advise on strategic decisions such as loss utilisation and efficient use of tax assets.

Tax Advisory & Client Interaction:

  • Manage client relationships and communicate tax matters clearly.
  • Offer tailored tax advice based on clients’ business needs.
  • Participate in client meetings for tax planning discussions.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Contribute to the training and development of junior staff.
  • Provide feedback to foster both technical and soft skills growth.
  • Ensure deadlines are met and support project completion.
  • Promote a positive, organised team environment.

Tax Due Diligence & Strategy:

  • Lead tax due diligence reviews and report on key risks.
  • Support strategic tax decisions and identify improvement opportunities.

Key Competencies:

  • Qualifications - Preferably ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified (or equivalent) or at least part-qualified.
  • Strong technical knowledge of corporate tax.
  • Organisational skills and a team-oriented approach.
  • Ability to mentor and support junior team members.
  • Attention to detail and proactivity in identifying and managing risks.
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships while providing exceptional service.
  • Strong IT competency
