Senior Tax Consultant - Stoke-on-Trent
Location: Stoke-on-Trent
Salary: £42,000-£48,000+ DOE
Type: Full-time
The Opportunity
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Tax Consultant to join a well-established accountancy practice in Stoke-on-Trent. This is a varied role offering the opportunity to work closely with a broad client base, providing both tax compliance and advisory support while continuing to develop your technical knowledge and career.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of personal and business tax clients
- Preparing and reviewing Self Assessment and other tax returns
- Advising clients on a range of UK tax matters
- Supporting with tax planning and advisory projects
- Dealing with HMRC correspondence and enquiries
- Building strong, long-term client relationships
- Supporting junior members of the team and reviewing their work
- Working closely with managers and partners on more complex assignments

About You
We're looking for someone with:
- Strong experience within an accountancy practice
- Solid UK tax knowledge
- Experience across personal/private client tax
- Strong compliance experience alongside an interest in advisory
- Excellent communication and client management skills
- ATT/CTA or relevant tax qualifications would be advantageous
- The ability to work independently while also contributing to a wider team
