The Role
We are seeking a Senior Manager to work within our Tax Advisory team. The role would be based predominantly in our Dundee or Edinburgh office, with the flexibility to also work from home or our other offices. Our team provide tax advice across a wide variety of sectors and taxes, and you will need to have proven experience in both corporate and personal taxes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing clear and concise advice to your portfolio of clients, building trusted and effective relationships
  • Day to day responsibility for managing ongoing client relationships
  • Work closely with non-tax fee earners across the group, including Business Services and Audit, to deliver a wide range of business tax projects
  • Managing and reviewing complex corporation tax returns including groups, advising on matters such as corporate reorganisations, EMI schemes, and tax planning for owner managed businesses.
  • Advising owner managed businesses regarding remuneration planning, succession planning, CGT and IHT mitigation
  • Delivering specialist tax advice which may include profit extraction strategies, management buy outs, and key stages of the business lifecycle.
  • Providing high level personal tax advice to high net worth individuals and business owners including capital gains tax, inheritance tax and other tax issues within families.
  • Line management responsibilities for more junior members within your team, reviewing projects and providing regular feedback and supporting their development.

  • You should be an experienced tax adviser to SMEs and their owners/managers, with the ability to provide commercial tax advice and lead teams
  • CTA qualification is advantageous, but not essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
