Are you an experienced Tax Manager ready to take the next step in your career?

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tax professional who enjoys combining technical expertise with genuine client advisory work. You’ll work closely with senior leadership and a varied portfolio of clients, providing proactive tax advice while helping to shape and develop the wider tax offering within a well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice.

The Role

You will take ownership of a varied portfolio and act as a trusted adviser to clients on a broad range of tax matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and developing a portfolio of clients, ensuring a high-quality and proactive service.
  • Providing strategic tax planning and advisory support.
  • Reviewing complex tax computations, returns, and associated compliance work.
  • Advising clients on tax-efficient structures, transactions, and longer-term planning.
  • Identifying opportunities to add value and provide additional advisory support.
  • Keeping up to date with changes in tax legislation and communicating these effectively to clients.
  • Working closely with Partners and senior colleagues on complex assignments.
  • Supporting, mentoring, and developing more junior members of the team.
  • Contributing to the continued development and growth of the tax function.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Significant UK tax experience gained within an accountancy practice or professional services environment.
  • Previous experience at Tax Manager or Senior Manager level, or be ready to make that step.
  • CTA, ACA, and/or ACCA qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Strong technical tax knowledge with experience of both compliance and advisory work.
  • Confidence managing your own client portfolio and building long-term relationships.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to mentor and support junior colleagues.
  • A proactive, commercial approach to identifying opportunities and solving client problems.
