Corporate Transactions Tax Advisory – Associate Director

Ready to take the lead on complex, high-profile transactions and make a real impact within a growing Transaction Tax Advisory team? Abacus Careers is recruiting an Associate Director to join a well-established professional services organisation in Belfast. You’ll work with large corporates, multinational groups and private equity-backed businesses, gaining exposure to sophisticated UK and international transactions.
đź’Ľ The Opportunity
You’ll take a leading role across complex transaction tax projects, working closely with senior stakeholders and specialist advisory teams while helping drive the continued growth of the practice.
🛠What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead Transaction Tax Advisory engagements from start to finish
- Advise on M&A, due diligence, structuring and transaction support
- Manage key relationships with large corporate and multinational clients
- Oversee project delivery, budgets, WIP and recoverability
- Support proposals, pitches, networking and business development
- Lead, coach and develop Managers and junior team members
- Collaborate across tax, corporate finance, legal and wider advisory teams

🎯 What We’re Looking For
- ACA/ACCA and/or CTA qualified
- Significant post-qualification corporation tax experience
- Strong Transaction Tax Advisory experience, including due diligence and structuring
- Exposure to substantial corporate and/or cross-border transactions
- Strong commercial and project management skills
- Proven client relationship and business development experience
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams
