Senior Tax Manager

Location: London (Hybrid)
Salary: Competitive + Benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced tax professional to join a leading international professional services business in a senior leadership role.

Working within a high-performing finance function, you will take responsibility for the tax affairs of a large LLP and its members, ensuring compliance with UK partnership tax requirements while providing commercially focused tax support to senior stakeholders across the business.

This is a highly visible position offering the opportunity to influence strategy, manage risk, drive process improvements, and lead a small specialist tax team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual partnership tax return and partner tax compliance process.
  • Oversee UK and international tax reporting requirements.
  • Manage partner tax reserve arrangements, reporting, and forecasting.
  • Identify, assess and manage tax risks across the business.
  • Act as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders on partnership tax matters.
  • Support partner admissions, retirements and changes to remuneration structures.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external tax advisers and regulatory authorities.
  • Develop and enhance tax governance, controls, and compliance frameworks.
  • Drive continuous improvement, automation, and efficiency initiatives within the tax function.
  • Lead, coach and develop members of the tax team.

About You

You will be a qualified tax or accounting professional (or possess equivalent experience) with extensive experience in partnership and/or individual taxation.

You'll also bring:

  • Strong technical knowledge of UK partnership taxation.
  • Experience managing complex tax compliance and reporting processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • The ability to explain complex tax matters clearly to non-tax specialists.
  • A proactive and commercially minded approach.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience leading or mentoring team members.
  • Interest in leveraging technology and AI tools to improve tax and finance processes.
