Job Opportunity: Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care
We are seeking someone with experience and expertise in leadership & management to join the School of Health Sciences at the University of Southampton to deliver leadership education at UG and PGT levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Delivery: Primarily involved in the delivery of our MSc Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care and wider pre-registration curricula.
- Program Leadership: Lead the MSc programme for an initial period of 3 years following its recent revalidation.
- Teaching and Assessment: Facilitate teaching, learning and assessment, provide academic guidance to students, and drive recruitment activity both onto the MSc programme and at the module level for continuing professional development.
- Commitment to Excellence: Commitment to excellence in the development of future leaders. Challenging, innovative and creative, using these skills to further advance the delivery of the programme.

Requirements
- Exceptional understanding of issues facing leaders in health and social care settings.
- Dynamic vision for how education and research can transform health care.
- Experience of working in a higher education institution and involvement in the delivery of a Leadership and Management in healthcare programme.
- Experienced clinician, working in clinical leadership but with proven educational skills and experience.
- Ideally hold a PhD or be working towards such a qualification.
