About the Role

We are seeking someone with experience and expertise in leadership & management to join the School of Health Sciences at the University of Southampton to deliver leadership education at UG and PGT levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Primarily involved in the delivery of our MSc Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care and wider pre-registration curricula.
  • Lead the MSc programme for an initial period of 3 years following its recent revalidation.
  • Facilitate teaching, learning, and assessment, provide academic guidance to students, and drive recruitment activity.
  • Commitment to excellence in the development of future leaders.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Exceptional understanding of issues facing leaders in health and social care settings.
  • Passion for outstanding education and a dynamic vision for how education and research can transform health care.
  • Considerable experience of working in a higher education institution and involvement in the delivery of a Leadership and Management in healthcare programme.
  • Alternatively, an experienced clinician working in clinical leadership with proven educational skills and experience.
  • Ideally, hold a PhD or be working towards such a qualification.
