The Role
A demanding, high-stakes position for a Senior Account Manager specializing in AI/ML, Data Center, and WAN networking infrastructure.
You’ll act as both a customer-facing advocate and internal influencer — shaping global network designs, strategizing with hyperscalers, and driving HPE’s product innovation strategy. Your deep technical expertise and vision will position HPE as a market leader in modern networking technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Collaboration:
- Consolidate insights from customers, account teams, specialists, product teams, and industry analysts to define HPE’s Go-to-Market (GTM) and Product Strategy for hyperscale Cloud Providers, digital-native companies, and neo-cloud networks.
- Influence senior leadership (HPE Networking executives, finance) to align on Cloud GTM and Product Strategy.

Cross-Business Innovation:
- Drive best-in-class best practices for networking + compute/storage integration.
- Co-design solutions with hyperscalers, enterprises, service providers, and tech partners for emerging and future network workloads.

Trendshaping & Analytics:
- Track, document, and act on Cloud networking innovations, emerging tech trends, and ** industry challenges**.

Assisting Sales Teams:
- Work closely with Territory Account Managers and Sales Engineers to ensure cutting-edge designs and products are presented to customers.

RFP/Commercial Excellence:
- Draft compliant RFP, bill of materials, pricing, and solution documents for competitive wins.
Role Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field (advanced degree is a strong preference).
Experience & Expertise
- 15+ years of technical leadership in network infrastructure (specialized expertise in AI, Cloud, and hyperscale environments).
- 15+ years of deep industry experience: JunOS, EOS, IOS, and hyperscale network architecture.
- Certification: JNCIE or equivalent.
Technical Proficiencies
- Powerful creative problem solver with entrepreneurial, adaptable mindset in fast-paced, competitive teams.
Core Technical Knowledge Required:
- Deep technical expertise in:
- Hyperscale routing, MPLS traffic engineering, switching, SDN overlapped networks (EVPN/VXLAN, MP-BGP), network fabrics, DCI (Data Center Interconnect solutions), automation, monitoring (Apstra, Paragon, NETCONF/REST APIs, YANG models).
- Major networking hardware (Juniper, Arista, Cisco) and silicon technologies, along with SONiC/Cumulus OS.
- SME in x86 virtualization, SR-IOV, SmartNICs for hardware acceleration.
- Generative AI experience (optimizing workflows, collaborating with AI tools).
