Senior Technical Accountant
Location: London (Hybrid)
Salary: £70,000+ DOE
A leading insurance broker is seeking an ACA/ACCA-qualified accountant to join their high-profile Accounting & Regulatory Policy team. This is a technically focused opportunity offering broad exposure to complex accounting, accounting policy, financial reporting, M&A and regulatory requirements, working closely with senior Finance stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Group accounting policies, assessing new accounting standards and regulatory changes.
- Prepare technical accounting papers and assess complex accounting judgements under IFRS, UK GAAP and FRS 102.
- Support acquisition accounting, M&A, legal entity integration and statutory reporting.
- Support Group reporting and consolidations, including foreign currency, goodwill and intercompany eliminations.
- Support FCA regulatory returns, ONS submissions and wind-down calculations.
- Strengthen financial controls, governance and finance processes.
- Partner with senior Finance stakeholders and external auditors on technical and reporting matters.

About You
- ACA/ACCA qualified with strong Big 4 or equivalent audit/advisory experience.
- Insurance broking audit experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP and FRS 102.
- Experience preparing technical accounting papers and assessing complex accounting matters.
- Acquisition accounting, group reporting and consolidation experience.
- Experience improving controls, governance and finance processes.
- Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
