Senior Technical Business Analyst - ideally based in Yorkshire/North West regions

Shape Digital Products That People Actually Use

We're looking for a Senior Technical Business Analyst who combines strong analysis skills with a genuine interest in product design, user experience and solution architecture.

This is not a traditional Business Analyst role centred around documenting requirements or supporting system implementations. We're looking for someone who enjoys shaping solutions from the earliest stages of discovery, working alongside clients, designers and engineers to create intuitive digital experiences and well-structured software solutions.

You'll play a key role in defining how applications should work, how users interact with them, and how development teams translate ideas into successful products. This role combines technical analysis, solution design, wireframing and user experience thinking with the core responsibilities of a senior Business Analyst.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading discovery workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Understanding user needs, business objectives and operational challenges.
  • Translating ideas and requirements into practical digital solutions.
  • Creating user journeys, process flows, wireframes and prototypes.
  • Helping shape application structure, functionality and user interactions.
  • Defining epics, user stories, acceptance criteria and functional requirements.
  • Working closely with developers, architects and designers to ensure solutions are feasible, scalable and user-friendly.
  • Supporting backlog refinement and Agile delivery activities.
  • Reviewing delivered functionality against requirements and business outcomes.
  • Supporting testing, user acceptance activities and product validation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
