Senior Technical Business Analyst | Business Systems Transformation, Home Based
A well-established UK organisation is investing heavily in the modernisation of its business systems and is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Business Analyst to play a key role in that journey.
This position sits within a growing Data & Business Systems function and will be central to a large-scale transformation programme aimed at replacing legacy processes and systems with modern, scalable platforms. The initial focus will be on CRM and sales ledger transformation, with the opportunity to become involved in a wider portfolio of business systems projects as the programme evolves.
Working closely with operational teams, developers, technical specialists and third-party suppliers, you'll help shape future processes, improve system capability and ensure business requirements are translated into practical solutions.

- Mapping and improving current and future-state processes
- Producing user stories, functional specifications and acceptance criteria
- Analysing business rules, data flows and system dependencies
- Using SQL to investigate, validate and reconcile data
- Supporting testing activities, including UAT, defect management and go-live readiness
- Collaborating with developers, data teams and external suppliers
- Improving documentation and knowledge capture within a legacy environment
- Providing guidance and support to a small technical team within the wider function

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
