Technical Business Analyst | Scale-up | Insurance Tech | London (Light Hybrid)

💷 £70,000 to £85,000 depending on seniority and experience, plus comprehensive benefits package.

🏠 UK Remote / Hybrid (1–2 days per month at London office).

About the Role

Are you a Technical Business Analyst with deep technical insight into system architecture, API integrations, and complex rating engines?

Do you excel at reviewing technical designs, triaging intricate system issues, and guiding broader analyst teams through technical solutions?

Are you an experienced mid-level or senior practitioner searching for a role where you can shape system scalability, vendor integrations, and technical best practices?

My client, a fast-growing, well-backed insurance technology firm, is seeking a Mid to Senior Technical Business Analyst. Acting as the digital delivery driver for specialist commercial insurance ventures, they build and integrate platforms to launch new ventures efficiently. They are now expanding their technical delivery team to manage a strong pipeline of complex integrations and solution rollouts.

Responsibilities

As the successful candidate:

  • You will take ownership of technical solution design, validating that platform enhancements remain robust, scalable, and maintainable.
  • You will act as the technical specialist across platform configurations, evaluating API calls, integration points, and code reviews alongside engineering teams.
  • You will investigate, triage, and resolve complex technical issues combining analytical rigor with domain understanding.
  • You will advise on technical risk, review solution proposals from team members, and ensure seamless delivery across multiple vendor integrations.

Requirements

The ideal candidate:

  • Strong experience as a Technical Business Analyst within commercial insurance or insuretech environments – required.
  • Hands-on familiarity with modern integration patterns, API implementations, complex rating structures, and system configurations – required.
  • Strong exposure to technical toolsets, data analysis (e.g., SQL, Python, or scripting basics), and configuration lifecycles – preferred.
  • Mid to Senior level profile with the confidence to steer technical discussions and review architecture proposals – required.
  • Happy to travel to the London office occasionally for collaborative workshops (~15% travel, fully expensed) – required.
