At La Fosse Academy, we help people from a wide range of backgrounds build successful careers in technology.
Through our Hire, Train, Deploy model, we identify potential, develop practical technical and professional skills, and support associates as they move into roles with our client organisations. Our training prepares people to contribute in the workplace, combining technical knowledge with the confidence, communication and problem-solving skills they need to succeed.
We’re looking for a Senior Technical Coach to join our training team and help develop the next generation of technology professionals.
About the role
You’ll deliver engaging technical training, coach associates through practical projects and help them develop the skills they need for client placements.
Working closely with the Head of Training and the wider Academy team, you’ll also create and improve curriculum content, assess progress and adapt your delivery to support people with different levels of experience and learning needs.
This role would suit someone who enjoys making complex concepts accessible, takes a practical approach to teaching and wants to have a direct impact on people’s careers.
What you’ll be doing
Technical training and coaching
- Deliver technical training, workshops and coaching sessions across our Academy programmes.
- Bring learning to life through practical exercises, projects and examples that reflect how technology is used in the workplace.
- Guide associates through technical challenges, helping them develop their problem-solving skills, independence and confidence.
- Create an inclusive learning environment, adapting your approach to different backgrounds, abilities and learning needs.
- Reinforce the communication, teamwork and professional skills associates need to contribute effectively in client teams.
Curriculum and content development
- Work with the Head of Training to develop and maintain curriculum content, technical frameworks, assessments and learning resources.
- Keep training relevant to industry practice, emerging technologies and the skills our clients need.
- Collaborate with other trainers and specialist contractors to maintain consistent delivery and share effective teaching approaches.
- Use feedback from associates, colleagues and client stakeholders to identify improvements and resolve issues with content or delivery.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
