Senior Technical Consultant

Infrastructure & Cloud

Midlands (Hybrid) | Highly Competitive Salary + Car Allowance

The Opportunity

If you're an experienced infrastructure consultant who's ready to broaden your cloud skillset — and wants real autonomy to do it — this role is built for you.

We're growing, and we're looking for a Senior Technical Consultant who's as comfortable in an on-premise infrastructure environment as they are architecting hybrid solutions in Microsoft Azure. You'll work directly with a varied customer base, tackling different challenges every week, while also having genuine input into how our technical services evolve — including our growing focus on AI-backed solutions.

This isn't a role where you'll be boxed into a single technology stack or ticket queue. You'll get variety, ownership of your own projects, and the freedom to keep learning — backed by a team that wants to invest in where the industry is heading next.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading consultancy engagements across hybrid infrastructure — design, implementation, migration and support
  • Delivering Azure IaaS deployments and hybrid integration projects for customers
  • Bringing deep expertise in on-premise compute, storage, and networking
  • Working across VMware and at least one alternative platform (Hyper-V, Proxmox, or OpenShift)
  • Shaping technical solutions, documentation, and best practice as our offering evolves
  • Building genuine, trusted-advisor relationships directly with customers
  • Owning your own workload and priorities across multiple concurrent projects
  • Collaborating with internal teams to help shape and grow our service offerings — including where AI fits in

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Why Join Us

  • Highly competitive base salary + car allowance
  • Genuine flexible working — after a short induction period, this becomes a largely remote role with office visits typically just twice a month
  • Room to grow into cloud and AI — this role is designed to develop your skillset, not just use what you already have
  • Variety and autonomy — no two weeks look the same, and you'll have real ownership of your work
  • Pension scheme

  • Life assurance
  • Home-working IT equipment provided
  • Employee Assistance Programme

A Note on Flexibility
