Senior Technical Consultant (Data Protection, Backup, Disaster Recovery) – Remote, UK

Leading technology provider of data protection and enterprise backup solutions are looking for an experienced and customer-focused technical consultant to provide professional services delivery. This role will involve working as part of a team on a range of projects including implementation and managed services. The role will involve working closely with enterprise-level clients in a technical lead capacity on projects implementing complex data protection and disaster recovery solutions. The role will involve implementation, troubleshooting any issues, escalating with vendors and the broader operations team. Writing, understanding, and delivering detailed Statements of Work. You will create both high-level and low-level designs along with technical documentation assisting the pre-sales and broader support areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional services delivery.
  • Work as part of a team on a range of projects including implementation and managed services.
  • Work closely with enterprise-level clients in a technical lead capacity on projects implementing complex data protection and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Implement, troubleshoot any issues, escalate with vendors and the broader operations team.
  • Write, understand, and deliver detailed Statements of Work.
  • Create both high-level and low-level designs along with technical documentation assisting the pre-sales and broader support areas.

Requirements:

  • Proven technical background and understanding of Backup and DR Technologies such as Rubik, Druva, Zerto, Commvault, or NetBackup.
  • Understanding of ITIL processes and ISO27001.
  • Understanding of Microsoft 365, Azure/AWS Public Cloud as well as technical knowledge of VMWare, Hyper-V, and Nutanix.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft and Linux operating systems ideally with some knowledge of scripting (Powershell).
  • Excellent communication skills and experience of client engagement.
