Workplace & Industrial Fit-Out | CAD / Revit
We are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Designer to join a growing design and build fit-out business, working across a range of commercial and workplace projects.
The role will suit a technically strong designer with a solid background in workplace fit-out and commercial interiors, who is confident taking projects from design development through to detailed technical information and construction. Strong AutoCAD/CAD skills are essential, with Revit experience considered a significant advantage. Experience across industrial, logistics or warehouse projects would also be highly advantageous, providing the opportunity to work across a diverse range of project types.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the production of detailed technical drawing packages for workplace and commercial fit-out projects.
- Produce high-quality 2D CAD drawings, including GA plans, layouts, elevations, sections, details and construction information.
- Develop designs from initial concepts through to detailed technical design and construction.
- Coordinate architectural, interior, MEP and specialist subcontractor information.
- Review and coordinate drawings to ensure accuracy, buildability and compliance with project requirements.
- Work closely with project managers, designers, contractors, subcontractors and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Attend design and technical meetings and contribute to design development and problem solving.
- Respond to technical queries and assist with resolving design and coordination issues during construction.
- Produce and maintain drawing registers, revisions and project documentation.
- Assist with site surveys and site-based technical investigations where required.
- Support the wider design team and provide technical guidance to more junior members of the team.
- Help ensure projects are delivered to programme, budget and the required quality standards.

Experience & Skills
- Proven experience as a Technical Designer, Senior Technical Designer, Architectural Technologist or similar role within the fit-out or construction sector.
- Strong experience delivering workplace / commercial fit-out projects is essential.
- Excellent AutoCAD / CAD skills with the ability to produce detailed technical and construction drawings.
- Revit experience is advantageous, particularly the ability to develop and coordinate technical models and information.
- Good understanding of workplace interiors, construction methods, materials and detailing.
- Experience coordinating drawings and information across multiple disciplines.
- Strong understanding of buildability and the practical requirements of delivering projects on site.
- Experience working directly with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and project teams.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience with industrial, logistics, warehouse or other large-scale commercial projects would be advantageous.

The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technical designer to join a flexible and collaborative design and build environment, working on a varied portfolio of workplace and commercial fit-out projects. The business offers hybrid working, with a minimum of two days working from home each week, alongside a highly flexible approach to working arrangements. The role offers the opportunity to take ownership of projects, work closely with experienced project and design teams, and further develop your technical design expertise across a diverse range of fit-out projects.
