Key Responsibilities
- Lead the London tech team, oversee architecture design & iteration for lending systems, credit risk engines, payment settlement, and customer financial platforms.
- Define technology roadmap aligned with UK fintech business goals; ensure high availability, security, performance, and cloud scalability.
- Own financial compliance & data security to meet UK FCA financial regulations, GDPR data privacy, and internal risk control requirements.
- Drive R&D process, QA, DevOps, to improve delivery efficiency and system stability.
- Build and develop the engineering team, including talent acquisition, mentoring, and performance management.
- Collaborate closely with product, business, risk, and operations to deliver high-quality projects on time.
- Manage tech budget, vendor governance, and cost optimization to ensure ROI on technology investments.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s or higher in Computer Science or equivalent; 8+ years software development, 5+ years technical leadership.
- Deep experience in FinTech/lending system architecture; consumer credit, risk engine, payment, settlement or financial SaaS background a strong plus.
- Proficient in backend (Java/Python/Go), microservices, distributed systems, databases, cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), containers, and CI/CD.
- Familiarity with UK FCA financial compliance, GDPR data privacy rules, and UK credit risk control framework is highly preferred.
- Strong project management, cross-team communication, problem-solving, and ability to work under high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Fluent Mandarin (spoken and written) required; working English proficiency.
- Legally authorized to work in the UK with no sponsorship required and able to work on-site full-time in London.
