TRI TALENT RESOURCING
Executive Search | Finance · Procurement · Supply Chain · HR · Technical
We are partnering with a fast-growing, entrepreneurial food-to-go manufacturer to appoint a senior Technical leader for its London & Home Counties operation.
The business has grown with ambitions to reach £200m. This is not a role for someone who wants to manage technical from behind a desk.
We need a hands-on, visible factory leader who understands chilled, high-care, ready-to-eat manufacturing and can lead change on the factory floor.
THE OPPORTUNITY
You will take ownership of the site technical strategy and its execution across food safety, legality, quality, retail compliance and technical systems, working closely with Operations, Commercial and the wider leadership team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Please note: this is a genuine food manufacturing leadership role. Candidates whose experience is predominantly auditing, co-packing, ambient manufacturing, bakery, chocolate or meat-only environments are unlikely to have the relevant background unless they also have substantial chilled ready-to-eat experience.
THE PERSON
You will need to be resilient, pragmatic and commercially aware — someone capable of walking onto the factory floor, spotting where standards aren't right and working with people to put them right.
The plan exists. The challenge is to lead it, land it and make the change stick.
