The Role

You'll take ownership of the technical function across a cluster of developments, managing a small team of coordinators and acting as the senior technical voice in commercial, planning and design discussions. It's a role that sits between the detail and the bigger picture, you'll need to be as comfortable in a design team meeting as you are reviewing a drainage strategy line by line.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading technical delivery across several live sites, from post-planning through to build completion.
  • Managing and mentoring a team of technical coordinators, reviewing their output and developing their capability.
  • Taking the lead role in RIBA stage design coordination with architects, structural engineers and services consultants.
  • Overseeing Building Regulations and NHBC submissions across the patch, resolving technical queries as they arise.
  • Managing discharge of planning conditions and liaising directly with local planning authorities.
  • Working closely with land, commercial and production teams to keep technical risk visible and managed.
  • Reporting into the Technical Director on programme, risk and resourcing across the division.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
