Are you ready to unlock intelligence? If you don’t think you meet all of the criteria below but are still interested in the job, please apply. Nobody checks every box - we’re looking for candidates that are particularly strong in a few areas, and have some interest and capabilities in others.

About the Role

As enterprises move from AI experiments to production agentic systems, a new problem has emerged: agents are non-human actors that need identity, authentication, and authorization — and the traditional identity stack wasn't built for them.

This role owns Kong's story in one of the most important emerging categories in AI infrastructure. As Senior Technical PMM for Agent Identity & Auth, you'll define how the market understands agent identity: how agents are authenticated, what they're authorized to access, and how enterprises establish trust and accountability across autonomous systems.

This is a category-shaping role. You'll build the narrative for a market that's still being defined, with the opportunity to establish Kong as the definitive voice on non-human identity in agentic architectures.

What You'll Do

  • Own positioning and messaging for agent identity and auth — Define the technical narrative for how Kong authenticates, authorizes, and governs agents and other non-human actors across AI and API traffic.
  • Shape the category — Develop thought leadership that frames the agent identity problem for the market and establishes Kong's point of view through blogs, talks, analyst conversations, and industry engagement.
  • Lead technical field enablement — Own enablement in this domain for Kong Solution Engineers, Customer Success Managers, and other technical field roles.
  • Produce deep technical content — Build demos, reference architectures, technical whitepapers, and documentation-adjacent content that helps architects and security teams evaluate and adopt Kong's approach.
  • Support strategic deals — Serve as the subject-matter expert for sales conversations where agent identity and security are strategic decision criteria, particularly with security and platform engineering buyers.
  • Fuel launches and campaigns — Deliver technical positioning, proof points, and demo assets as structured inputs to the AI PMM's launch and campaign motions.
  • Partner with product management — Inform roadmap framing and capability naming based on market feedback, competitive dynamics, and buyer research.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of experience in product marketing, product management, or solutions engineering - ideally at an Identity and Access Management (IAM) and/or AI Security company.
  • A genuine, hands-on interest in AI infrastructure. You follow developments in LLM deployment, agentic frameworks, the Model Context Protocol, and AI governance, and can speak credibly to AI platform engineers without bluffing.
  • A proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into crisp narratives that land with both technical practitioners and C-suite buyers.
  • Highly collaborative - you thrive working across Product, Marketing, Sales, and Partner teams.
  • Comfortable owning a stage: keynote presentations, analyst briefings, customer roundtables, and demo-heavy sessions energize you rather than intimidate you.
  • Experience in open-source software, SaaS platforms, and enterprise go-to-market motions is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with the AI connectivity landscape - including awareness of competing and complementary vendors across API gateways, AI observability, vector databases, iPaaS, and agentic orchestration frameworks - is a strong plus.
