An opportunity has arisen to join a critical UK national security programme, supporting the development, assurance and transition of complex technical capabilities
Working within a highly secure environment, you will provide senior technical leadership across a portfolio of engineering, technology and security-focused projects.
Your new role
As Senior Technical Programme Manager, you will be responsible for providing technical oversight, governance and assurance across a range of complex capability development programmes. Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering, scientific and operational teams, you will evaluate technical solutions, challenge delivery approaches and provide expert guidance throughout the capability lifecycle.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical leadership and assurance across multiple programmes and projects.
- Supporting investment decisions, business cases and delivery strategies.
- Reviewing technical designs, architectures and implementation plans.
- Identifying and mitigating technical and delivery risks.
- Acting as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders and governance boards.
- Supporting testing, evaluation, acceptance and transition into service activities.
- Assessing emerging technologies and their suitability for operational deployment.
- Mentoring technical specialists and promoting engineering best practice.

What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience delivering complex technical, engineering or security-focused programmes.
- Strong understanding of systems engineering, technology development, integration, testing and operational deployment.
- Experience providing technical governance, assurance and independent challenge.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and multidisciplinary technical teams.
- Strong programme and project management experience within complex environments.
- Eligibility to obtain DV clearance, or currently holding active DV clearance.
