Senior Technical Project Manager — Banking & Software Delivery
Location: Canary Wharf | Hybrid 2 to 3 days onsite | Full-time
About the Role
We’re looking for a technically strong project leader with a background in software engineering, technical leadership, or architecture, and experience leading technology initiatives in banking or financial services.
What you’ll do
- Own delivery plans, milestones, budgets, dependencies, risks, and outcomes across banking technology initiatives.
- Lead cross-functional delivery with engineering, product, QA, infrastructure, security, and business stakeholders.
- Work with engineers and architects to assess solution options, integration dependencies, and technical trade-offs.
- Coordinate requirements, development, testing, UAT, release readiness, implementation, and post-release reviews.
- Manage execution in Jira and provide clear reporting on progress, blockers, and decisions needed.
- Analyze complex datasets and turn findings into actionable recommendations and executive presentations.
- Use AI tools and automation to improve analysis, reporting, documentation, and delivery efficiency.
- Incorporate banking governance, risk, and compliance requirements into delivery planning.

What we’re looking for
- 7+ years in project or program management, including substantial ownership of software delivery.
- A strong software engineering background, demonstrated through previous development, technical leadership, architecture work, or comparable technical responsibilities.
- Experience delivering technology initiatives within banking or financial services.
- Practical understanding of APIs, systems integration, databases, cloud platforms, and software architecture.
- Experience managing the full SDLC, including Agile delivery, CI/CD, testing, releases, and production readiness.
- Ability to engage credibly with engineers and explain technical issues clearly to business leaders.
- Strong Jira, Excel, and PowerPoint skills, with confidence working through large volumes of data.
- Practical experience using AI tools to improve productivity and decision-making.
- Clear communication, sound judgment, and a high degree of ownership.

Experience that would strengthen your application
- Python or SQL for data analysis and automation.
- Delivery involving AWS, Azure, or GCP; microservices; distributed systems; or data platforms.
- Banking initiatives involving payments, capital markets, risk, compliance, or security.
- PMP, Scrum, Agile, or relevant technical certifications.
Interview process
- 60-minute interview with RE Partners founders/executives.
- If successful, a 60-minute client interview.
