About the Company
People in Power is a specialist recruitment consultancy operating across the Transmission & Distribution and wider power infrastructure market throughout the UK and Europe. We work very differently from a traditional recruitment agency. Rather than simply filling vacancies, we work directly with Directors and senior leadership teams across leading EPCs and ICPs, providing consultative advice and strategic recruitment support around growth, project delivery, succession planning and future skills requirements.
About the Role
As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Senior Recruitment Consultant to join People in Power. You'll have access to our existing client relationships and live requirements from day one, while having the autonomy to carve out your own niche and build a client base of your own. We're not looking to dictate what your desk should look like. If you identify an opportunity within T&D or the wider power, energy and infrastructure market, we'll support you in developing it. You'll be joining an established specialist business while still having the freedom to build something of your own within it.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
