Technical Sales Engineer – Clamping & Tooling Systems
Excellent opportunity for a technically minded sales professional to join a specialist engineering business, selling high-quality clamping and tooling systems into some of the most advanced manufacturing environments in the UK.
Are you a Technical Sales Engineer who enjoys understanding a customer's manufacturing challenges and developing the right technical solution? Perhaps you are already working in precision engineering, work-holding, tooling, machine tools or industrial automation, and are looking for a role where you can take greater ownership of your territory, customers, and earning potential.
This could be the opportunity for you.
The Role
You will be responsible for developing relationships with manufacturers across sectors including:
- Aerospace
- Automotive
- Formula 1 / Motorsport
- Medical & precision engineering
- Machine tools
- Advanced manufacturing
This is a genuinely consultative sales role. Rather than simply selling a catalogue of products, you will work closely with Production Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, Design Engineers, and other technical stakeholders to understand their requirements, identify problems, and provide the most appropriate clamping and tooling solution.
You will have the autonomy to manage your territory and customer base, developing existing relationships while identifying and winning new business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
