Senior Technical Security Consultant - H&PS

Location: Flexible: UK (With Client Travel)

Career Level: Manager

Salary: Competitive Salary & Package (Dependent on Experience)


Please Note: Any offer of employment is subject to satisfactory BPSS and SC security clearance which requires 5 years continuous UK address history (typically including no periods of 30 consecutive days or more spent outside of the UK) at the point of application. This role also requires full British Nationality at point of application.

  • Act as a senior Security Architect and technical authority across a portfolio of projects and services.
  • Lead security architecture reviews and provide expert guidance on secure design principles.
  • Assess and advise on cloud, network, infrastructure and application security controls.
  • Review complex technical solutions and ensure they align with security, regulatory and business requirements.
  • Conduct and support threat modelling, risk assessments and vulnerability assessments.
  • Provide technical oversight and recommendations for security testing and penetration testing activities.
  • Support vulnerability management activities, helping teams prioritise and remediate security risks.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, testers and assurance teams to deliver secure solutions.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex technical security challenges.
  • Coach and mentor security practitioners, helping to improve the quality and consistency of technical security outputs.
  • Promote security best practice and contribute to the development of technical standards across the security community.
  • Engage with both senior stakeholders and technical delivery teams to communicate security risks and recommendations effectively.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Significant experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Security Architecture
    • Security Engineering
    • Cloud Security
    • Network Security
    • Application Security
    • Penetration Testing
  • Strong understanding of modern cyber threats, attack techniques and security risks.
  • Experience applying secure-by-design principles across enterprise environments.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud, infrastructure and enterprise security technologies.
  • Ability to translate complex technical security concepts into clear business-focused recommendations.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience reviewing security designs, risk assessments and security testing outputs.

  • Other recognised security industry certifications
