Take ownership of technical SEO for a large ecommerce website with 100,000+ monthly visitors, improving rankings, qualified organic traffic and, ultimately, customers and revenue.
You'll work across technical SEO, site architecture, internal linking, crawling and indexing, structured data, cannibalisation, search intent and emerging AI search platforms including Google AI search, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity.
This isn't an entry-level SEO role. We want someone who can demonstrate real results on high-traffic websites, diagnose problems independently and turn SEO improvements into measurable commercial outcomes.

About The Big Phone Store
The Big Phone Store is one of the UK's leading refurbished technology retailers and an award-winning employer recognised for customer service, workplace culture, sustainability, growth and innovation.
We're looking for an experienced Senior Technical SEO & AI Search Specialist to take ownership of the technical side of our organic search performance across traditional search engines and AI-powered search.
This is a substantial ecommerce website and this is not an entry-level SEO position. We're looking for someone who has already worked at scale, understands how complex websites behave in search and can demonstrate measurable commercial results.
What Success Looks Like
Your objective is to increase qualified, commercially relevant organic traffic that contributes to enquiries, customers, transactions and revenue. Rankings, impressions and traffic are important indicators, but they are not the end goal.
Essential Experience
You must have proven experience working on websites receiving at least 100,000 visits per month. We are looking for evidence of what you have actually achieved, including the scale of sites, problems identified, actions taken and effect on qualified traffic, conversions or revenue.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
