Senior Technical Services Manager - Major Commercial Projects
Overview
The Shore Group have partnered with a Main Contractor who are recognised for delivering some of London's most technically challenging commercial fit out and retrofit projects.
This opportunity is suited to an experienced Technical Services professional who can take ownership of technical delivery from tender stage through to commissioning and handover. You will play a pivotal role in driving project success, managing technical risk, influencing design decisions and ensuring first-class delivery across complex commercial schemes.
This role is suited to an experienced Technical Services professional who thrives in complex project environments, is confident managing technical challenges, and can work effectively with clients, consultants and delivery teams to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Requirements
- Proven experience leading technical delivery on complex commercial construction projects with an M&E value of £15 Million +
- Strong building services / MEP background which must include commercial projects, primarily offices.
- Current or previous experience working for:
- An M&E subcontractor.
- Commercial fit out contractor.
- Cut & carve specialist contractor.
- Refurbishment or retrofit main contractor.
- Ability to work across multiple projects or lead the technical delivery of a flagship scheme.
- Experience managing projects through pre-construction, design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
- Excellent understanding of building services coordination, technical compliance and UK Building Regulations.
- Strong client-facing skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
- Experience identifying, managing and mitigating technical and design risks.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership across complex commercial projects.
- Manage and coordinate design development to ensure compliant, buildable and commercially viable solutions.
- Lead technical input during pre-construction, tender submissions and procurement activities.
- Review and challenge consultant and subcontractor proposals to ensure best value and technical excellence.
- Drive technical risk management throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee quality assurance, commissioning activities and project handover.
- Work closely with project, commercial and construction teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.
- Support the development of Technical Services Managers and wider project teams.
- Act as a key technical authority, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
