About the team
We're looking for a Senior Technical Systems Analyst to join our Architecture team and play a pivotal role in shaping the technology solutions that support our Logistics & Fulfilment landscape. This is more than a traditional analyst role. You'll sit at the heart of solution delivery, translating architectural designs into detailed, build-ready specifications that enable engineering teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
Working closely with Architects, Product Owners, Engineering Leads and Data specialists, you'll be the authoritative voice on functional design, interface contracts and data mapping, ensuring that complex initiatives are clearly defined, understood and successfully delivered.
If you enjoy solving complex business problems, influencing technical direction and creating specifications that drive real-world outcomes, we'd love to hear from you.
About the role
As a Senior Technical Systems Analyst, you'll be responsible for producing and maintaining the functional and interface specifications that underpin successful technology delivery.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Translating solution architecture into detailed, implementable technical specifications.
- Creating and maintaining functional specifications, process/workload documentation and interface contracts.
- Defining data mappings, transformation logic, validation rules and error-handling behaviours.
- Supporting delivery teams with clear, accurate and testable requirements throughout the SDLC.
- Conducting impact assessments across systems, interfaces and data models.
- Ensuring traceability across requirements, processes, specifications and technical designs.
- Collaborating with Architects to resolve design ambiguities and ensure alignment to enterprise standards.
- Working closely with Engineering and QA teams to ensure solutions are implementable, testable and operationally robust.
- Contributing to logical data modelling, data governance requirements and GDPR/PII considerations.
- Identifying opportunities to improve specification standards, templates and delivery practices across the Architecture community.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
