The Opportunity:
Working as a Senior Technical Test Engineer primarily within an IT product team or on business change projects as part of a team, to ensure the quality and functionality of products, support change projects with delivery of testing deliverables and co-ordinating testers and being able to purposely design appropriate testing strategies and frameworks.

Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Work with an established team of Testers, Developers and Product Managers within a Product Team or supporting business and IT change projects
- Deliver testing deliverables on change projects using testing methods and practices
- Co-ordinate testing activities and less experienced testers, whilst being able to manage up
- Adhere to established testing processes throughout the various phases of a Waterfall project
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily standups and retrospectives
- Analyse testing inputs, such as business and technical requirements
- Prepare detailed test conditions and test scripts
- Execute test scripts, accurately recording all test results
This is a full-time, permanent role based in our Glasgow office with hybrid working.
About you:

The successful candidate will have:
- Certifications such as ISTQB accreditation, Agile, DevOps etc.
- TOSCA Certifications
- Strong manual testing skills and experience
- Ability to work within cross-functional product teams
- Solid understanding and experience with both Agile and Waterfall project methodologies
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (Zephyr, JIRA)
- Understanding of risk-based testing practices to focus efforts on critical areas
- Proven experience in managing automation for testing functions/portfolio
- Expertise in automating complex, multi-platform distributed applications
- Excellent knowledge of market standard automation & CICD tools (Selenium, Tosca, Playwright, Jenkins, GitHub, Maven etc.)
- Very good knowledge of AI & Cloud based technologies (Azure, AWS, GitHub Co-Pilot etc.) to implement as needed
