Our Training Team delivers world-class technical training for Qualys IT security risk and compliance solutions in the classroom and online. We are a global team of training professionals passionate about helping customers learn and succeed with our products. We're looking for an experienced Technical Trainer to join us!
Responsibilities
- Consult with stakeholders to define technical enablement needs; this is a shared responsibility with the training team.
- Work with multiple teams, including Engineering, Product Management, SME, Sales, and Support, to consolidate knowledge elements, review, validate, and ensure training content aligns with business requirements.
- Manage and deliver technical training to our customers, prospects, partners, and internal Qualys employees, in-person or via virtual mediums.
- Collaborate with team members to design, develop, maintain and deliver exceptional technical training materials in multiple modalities, including eLearning, videos, simulations, labs, and instructor-led classroom training.
- Independently design, build, and deliver training courses and associated training aids like videos, simulations and lab guides.
- Be an advocate for Qualys Products and contribute to the success of our training programs.
- Conduct peer reviews for existing content development activities.
- Assist Leads on Training Projects.
- Develop your skills to become a subject matter expert on flagship products you create and deliver training for and address various knowledge needs for the support organization with the prime responsibility of training customers and employees.
- Assist in designing, building, and maintaining virtual lab environments and associated lab guides to support technical training courses.
- Manage functions in the Learning Management System relevant to your job duties.

Essential Skills and Experience
- BSc/MSc degree or equivalent experience in computer science or related engineering fields.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in delivering technical training, both in-person and remotely.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience with Cyber Security products or platforms, such as but not limited to Endpoint Security, Vulnerability Management, SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), Network Security, Firewall, UTMs, Compliance solutions, etc.
- Must have previous experience in designing and developing materials and writing assessments for technical training.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Ability to execute several parallel tasks and prioritize appropriately.
- Ability to adapt to recent technologies and learn quickly.
- Must be open to travel independently for onsite training delivery.
- Must be experienced in working across multiple geographic regions when required.
- This position requires candidate to work from the Reading, UK office in a hybrid capacity (minimum 3 days in office)

Desirable
- Knowledge and experience of using Qualys products.
- Experience with delivering Certification-based Training as part of an education program.
- Experience with Video content and Simulation creation tools like Adobe Premiere, Screenflow, Camtasia, Captivate.
- Understanding of compliance standards and frameworks such as PCI, CIS, NIST, etc.
- Knowledge of any one of the Public Cloud Platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
- Experienced in creating/modifying custom scripts.
- Experienced in building complex virtual environments.
- Experience with Adult learning theory.
- Experience with instructional design models.
- CompTIA Security +, ISC2 CC and Cloud Platform Certifications are a strong plus.
A technical presentation will be required during the interview process. References of sample videos and training materials created by the candidate will be a plus.
