The Vacancy

We're now looking for a proactive and hands-on Senior Technician to support the day-to-day operation of our customer project environments.

The Opportunity

This is a varied and highly visible role where you'll take operational responsibility for three customer project areas, ensuring activities are carried out safely, efficiently and in line with customer expectations.

Working closely with Programme Managers, Project Managers and customers, you'll be the go-to person for operational coordination, problem solving and maintaining smooth project delivery. No two days are the same, making this an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Overseeing the daily operation of multiple customer project areas
  • Acting as the main operational contact for project teams and customer representatives
  • Supporting planning activities to ensure resources, tooling and equipment are available when needed
  • Promoting a strong health, safety and compliance culture
  • Monitoring operational performance and escalating risks or issues where required
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the work areas
  • Maintaining high standards of organisation and housekeeping using 5S principles
  • Learning and operating equipment and machinery where required to support project delivery
  • Collaborating with engineers, technicians and project teams to achieve successful outcomes

What We're Looking For

We're interested in speaking with practical, solutions-focused individuals who enjoy taking ownership and making things happen.

Essential

  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and operations
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements within a manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience working with machinery, equipment or technical processes
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Good problem-solving skills and the confidence to escalate issues when needed
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills

Desirable

  • Experience in manufacturing disciplines such as fabrication, CNC machining, assembly, metrology, metallurgy or laser processing
  • A proactive approach and willingness to learn new skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Strong operational awareness and understanding of production environments
  • A collaborative attitude with a focus on achieving team success
