An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, dynamic and self-motivated professional to join our clinical trials team at the Chelsea site of the Royal Marsden.
You will be part of a team consisting of Pharmacists, Technicians, and Assistants, who are always striving for excellence in all aspects of our work. We are working collaboratively as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team to ensure we always deliver outstanding care to our patients.
This is an exciting time to join the Royal Marsden Hospital Clinical Trials Department. Our service is built around providing a high-quality service to our patients and staff of the Trust. Our newly built aseptic and clinical trial areas at the Chelsea site allow us to take part in ground-breaking research and provide pioneering treatment, including gene therapy and CAR-T treatments.
The hospital has recently introduced the EPIC digital health record system, and we are looking to use the full capabilities of this system to support the pharmacy teams and become a more efficient and truly paperless department.
The Job Description
The Job Description outlines the roles of the Senior Technician, Clinical Trials. You will be expected to assist with the coordination of the day-to-day running of our clinical trials portfolio at the Royal Marsden under the direction of the Chief Technician Clinical Trials, ensuring a standard approach to the management and dispensing of clinical trials.

You will assist with ensuring that trials run smoothly; this will include:
- Dispensing prescriptions
- Ensuring accurate stock control
- Record keeping
- Maintaining drug accountability of clinical trials
You will also be producing protocol-specific guidelines, liaising within the necessary multi-disciplinary teams, and assisting with training colleagues in the requirements of each trial.
