Senior Technology Product Owner

Are you ready to take ownership of a critical technology estate that underpins safe and resilient Marine operations? As a Senior Technology Product Owner, you'll drive the strategy, roadmap, and investment decisions for technology supporting VTS, GPCC, Dockmaster, waterways, and remote port operations, working across Marine Operations, Technology, OT, Cyber, Engineering, and suppliers to deliver a secure, reliable, and future-ready service.

Your Role

As the Senior Technology Product Owner, you will provide strategic ownership and decision-making for the technology that underpins Marine traffic management, VTS, GPCC, Dockmaster, waterways, and remote port operations. Reporting to the Head of Marine products, you will be responsible for setting the product roadmap, managing risk and resilience, guiding investment and lifecycle decisions, and ensuring technology services remain safe, secure, reliable, and aligned to operational needs.

  • Working closely with Marine Operations, Technology, OT, Cyber, Engineering, Data teams, and external suppliers, you will bring structure and governance to a complex environment, balancing operational priorities, risk, resilience, and long-term value.
  • You will play a key role in driving a proactive, strategically managed technology capability that supports business continuity and the safe operation of critical marine services.

What you’ll bring

  • Proven experience working in safety-critical, operationally focused, or technically complex environments, with the ability to provide clear ownership and direction across a diverse technology landscape.
  • Broad technical awareness with strong judgement, enabling you to balance risk, resilience, lifecycle requirements, investment priorities, and business value.
  • Confident working across Marine Operations, Technology, OT, Cyber, Engineering, and supplier teams, building effective relationships and influencing decisions across organisational boundaries.
  • Ability to challenge constructively, translate technical and operational insight into clear priorities, and establish the governance, accountability, and control needed to support safe, resilient, and efficient marine operations.
