GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Senior Territory Sales Manager is responsible for achieving or exceeding targeted sales of Ansell products within the assigned North territory and the New Energy, Chemical, and Aerospace sectors in line with the Ansell strategy. They work through distributors and end users by facilitating the development of promotional programs, assisting in the training of distributors’ sales forces, and promoting Ansell brands, services, and programs at end-user level. They are accountable for growing share of wallet within key accounts and have an overall objective to maximize conversions to the Ansell range, maintain recurring business, and create a value-selling proposition through end-user loyalty.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assess, analyse, prioritise, plan and execute Ansell’s distribution and end-user business within the designated territory to achieve defined revenue and market share objectives.
- Formulate sales and conversion plans and objectives on a monthly basis and execute them within the territory and assigned verticals.
- Interact with and coach peers to enhance vertical knowledge and sales efficiency.
- Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships at site and regional decision-making levels, as well as with internal stakeholders and colleagues.
- Network effectively at trade shows, exhibitions, industry forums, and reseller events.
- Identify and prioritise new business and growth opportunities across the New Energy, Chemical, and Aerospace verticals.
- Drive share-of-wallet growth within key account end users and ensure the achievement of strategic business objectives.
- Conduct ongoing account profiling with Sales Leaders and key end users to support the development of effective market strategies.
- Record all relevant information within Salesforce CRM.
- Monitor distributor performance and collaborate with distributors to maximize engagement and visibility across distributor and end-user networks.
- Direct sales activities through distributors, ensuring effective territory coverage and penetration of key trade segments.
- Develop and execute joint end-user engagement strategies with distributor partners to drive growth and mitigate business risks.
- Conduct regular sales meetings with distributors and end users to communicate new developments in strategy, products, policies, and commercial programs.
- Achieve profit objectives through effective pricing management, upselling Ansell solutions, and controlling expenses.
- Prepare sales plans, budgets, reports, and forecasts and submit them in a timely manner to management and relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date customer, opportunity, and pipeline information is maintained within Salesforce.
- Work closely with Customer Service and Quality teams to monitor trade expenditure and support resolution of customer complaints.
- Conduct all business activities in accordance with relevant legislation, company policies, ethical standards, and approved trading terms.
- Monitor competitor activities, market developments, and distribution channel trends, and develop appropriate response strategies in collaboration with sales leadership.
- Achieve agreed personal development goals and continuously build professional capabilities.
- Support management with special projects and initiatives as required.
- Recommend changes to pricing, discount structures, credit arrangements, terms of trade, and selling conditions to address evolving market needs.
- Conduct business intelligence activities, gathering, analysing, and sharing market trends, project opportunities, and competitor insights.
- Supervise and train distributor personnel on Ansell products, solutions, procedures, and value propositions.

KEY POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience in B2B environments.
- Demonstrated success selling through distribution channels and winning key end-user business.
- Experience applying consultative selling methodologies and solution-based sales approaches.
- Knowledge of distribution networks and practical experience in distributor and channel management.
- Experience within New Energy, Chemical, Aerospace, or related industrial sectors.
- Experience supporting, coaching, or mentoring colleagues.

Knowledge and Skills
- Existing industry, end-user, and reseller network knowledge within relevant industrial sectors.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather information from multiple sources and translate insights into business actions.
- Budgeting, forecasting, and reporting capabilities, including identifying issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Understanding of and ability to effectively use CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
- Social selling skills and the ability to engage customers through digital channels.
- Strong virtual presentation and product demonstration capabilities.
- Persuasive and engaging communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to positively represent and promote the company at all times.
- Self-starter with strong planning, prioritisation, and business process discipline.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work across functions and regions.
- Solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
- New business development and hunting mentality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Languages
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
Additional Requirements (travel, etc.)
- Valid driver's license.
- Frequent travel within the assigned territory and occasional international travel as required.
