The Release Acceptance Senior Test Analyst is responsible for the definition and execution of release acceptance test activities that assure the quality of software release packages prior to live deployment.
Responsibilities:
- Defines and executes release acceptance test procedures.
- Uses in-depth technical analysis of both functional and non-functional specifications to determine test requirements.
- Specifies requirements for environment, data, resources, and tools.
- Conducts early life cycle validation and verification.
- Plans, estimates, and schedules phase tests.
- Designs and produces reusable test scripts, procedures, and regression test packs.
- Interprets and executes complex test scripts using agreed methods and standards.
- Monitors progress, documents test pass/failures, and creates traceability records.
- Reviews test results and modifies tests if necessary.
- Provides reports on system quality and collects metrics on test cases.
- Provides guidance and assistance to colleagues.
- Reviews and tests non-functional aspects of systems at a high level.
- Guides team members on the practices of testing and prioritizes their tasks.
- Mentors TA and Trainee TA.
- Deputises for Lead Test Analyst.
- Maintains knowledge of specific specialisms and provides detailed advice regarding their application.
- Executes specialized tasks.

About You
- Extensive experience in release acceptance testing, release management, and live service assurance.
- Experience in test planning and scripting tooling.
- Experience in using automated test tools.
- Capability to influence where automation will add value.
- Familiar with testing techniques used to plan and execute software tests of all application components.
- Experience with software tools that automate or assist any part of the testing process.
- Specialist knowledge and skills in one or more business functions, technology, or automation tool.
- Attention to detail and applies appropriate quality standards to all tasks.
