Senior Test Automation Engineer (TeamCity)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer (TeamCity) based in the United Kingdom.

This role offers the opportunity to shape the automated testing platform behind a major developer infrastructure product. You will focus on building high-impact tools, frameworks, and automation that enable engineering teams to release software with greater speed and confidence. Rather than maintaining legacy test suites, you will tackle engineering friction at its source and improve quality across the development lifecycle. You will also explore practical applications of AI for test generation, failure triage, and self-healing automation. Working closely with product engineers, you will influence technical standards and help teams take greater ownership of quality. This is a senior, hands-on engineering role with significant scope to shape the future of quality engineering.

Accountabilities:

  • Own the evolution of the quality engineering platform and help make automated testing a seamless part of the product development experience.
  • Evolve automated testing frameworks, infrastructure, reporting capabilities, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Identify and eliminate slow, manual, fragile, or repetitive engineering processes, including release automation, feedback loops, and test flakiness.
  • Develop practical AI-powered solutions for test generation, automated failure triage, and self-healing tests.
  • Partner with product engineering teams to help them design, implement, and maintain high-quality automated tests.
  • Review testing contributions, promote strong test design practices, and establish technical standards across teams.
  • Investigate failures and flaky tests across both test infrastructure and product code, driving issues through to resolution.
  • Contribute throughout the full product lifecycle, from initial design and development through testing and release.
  • Mentor colleagues, share knowledge, and advocate for engineering practices that improve quality and developer productivity.
  • Measure the impact of quality engineering improvements and continuously identify opportunities to accelerate development workflows.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
